The Department of firefighters, public rescue and civil defense of the Ministry of the Interiors must, among its institutional duties, spread the culture of safety, in order to bound the risk exposure. The contents of the cards are enough to start a first aid organization. Even though the autors guarantee the reliability of their job, they are not responsible for any damage due to the use of these datas. The publication of this program data and subjects for purposes that are not linked to the national fire corps must only been done after authorization receipt of their communication office. This is the reason why that application “Kemler-ONU” has been updated by the National Fire Corps. The Kemler number identifies the kind of hazard connected with the transport of the substance. The ONU number univocally identifies the substance (or the group of similar substances with regards to their properties or kind of hazard). Kemler and ONU numbers are carried on the hazard cards put on the transport means (orange rectangular cards showed on the vehicles that transport these substances). Hazard statements and precautionary statements are associated with each substance (hazard statements are referred to health and environment hazards, precautionary statements are health rules). These are the smallest group of information to understand quickly what to do and what to avoid in case of accidental spreading of the hazardous substance.
Some Kemler numbers together with 1693 ICSC technical cards have been added to this version and 1652 UN numbers currently in the database and constantly updated.. Dangerous substances and mixtures are also indicated by labeling (and plating), which are put on the parcels, cases, tanks, and are composed by rhomboidal cards with proper forms, dimensions and pictograms whose graphic and descriptive references are available. These signs are available in the ICSC cards. It is important to underline that this software is not a professional program aimed at evaluating the risk, but it is a basic source of information through a mobile support. The contents of the cards are enough to start a first aid organization. Even though the autors guarantee the reliability of their job, they are not responsible for any damage due to the use of these datas.
